As to the director of Center, Professor Osman Makhachev, for the first 4 years of work of the Center from 2009 to 2012, 460 surgeries were conducted. The remaining 6,540 operations were conducted in the period from 2013 to 2018. "Out of 7000 operations performed on the heart and vessels, 2626 are the surgeries in the category of high-tech medical care. Over the past year, 504 percutaneous coronary interventions with stenting of the coronary arteries were performed in DCC, which allowed the Center to enter the 2nd group in terms of the number of PCIs performed (more than 500 PCIs per year) among the relevant Russian Federation institutions" - the professor said.

The hospital mortality rate has become significantly less than the average for Russia.

It should be noted that in the near future, the surgeries with artificial blood circulation will be conducted in the DCC and CCS, which will allow introducing both new types of surgical interventions and the increase in the total number of surgeries.
