Culture, education, economy as factors of sustainable regional development to be discussed at cultural and investment forum in Daghestan

Makhachkala, April 3, 2014. Culture, education and economy as factors of sustainable regional development will be the topic of discussion at one of the sections of the International Cultural and Investment Forum "Culture and Economy of Regional Policy in Modern Context" in Daghestan, the Daghestan ministry of culture told RIA "Daghestan".

Scholars from colleges of culture and arts, and experts in sociology and culture from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, and other countries have been invited to participate in the section aiming to define relevant aspects and problems of cultural development and education in the modern context.

The main issues to discuss at the section will be culture as a phenomenon of social life, culture as a sphere of social production in the country and its regions, the cultural capital of economy and education systems, culture as a resource and a factor of sustainable social dynamics of Russia and its regions, region-specific aspects of culture and education in Russia, education within the system of culture and culture in the educational system, the unity and interdependence of culture, education and economy, education as a foundation and a source of sustainable cultural and economic development of Russian regions, cultural practices in economic and educational processes in Russian regions, cultural traditions and values as factors of determination of educational and economic processes, and others.

The forum is an initiative of Daghestan government and the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts of the Russian Ministry of Culture.
The main goal of the forum held as part of the Year of Russian Culture is to discuss the major problems of a balanced and synchronized development of the cultural environment and the economy in Russian regions and their territorial models allowing harmonization of the cultural and socio-economic dynamics of the regional development and overcoming crises and instability in socio-economic development of Russian regions.
