Makhachkala, April 29, 2015. The scientific conference named "North Caucasian peoples’ participation in Great Patriotic War: new documents and materials" will be held tomorrow in Dagestan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the press service of the center told RIA Dagestan. The forum is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the USSR’s victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The conference is organized by Dagestan Scientific Center with the support of the republican ministry of national policy. It will be attended by Dagestan minister of national policy Tatiana Gamalei and chairman of Dagestan Scientific Center, Director of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography Hizri Amirkhanov.

Here, scientists and lecturers of republican universities will take the floor to present their reports. The plenary session will discuss issues such as USSR’s role in defeating Nazi Germany and its allies, forgery and falsification in evaluation of the Soviet Union’s role in World War II, Dagestani Heroes of the Soviet Union and their role in educating patriotism in Dagestani peoples.

Then, the conference will to work in sections like "North Caucasus’ feat of arms in the Great Patriotic War", "North Caucasus’ labour feats in the Great Patriotic War", and "Ideas of patriotism and citizenship in literature and media".
