Dagestan authorities plans to create a center for teenagers facing difficult life situations. Maria Lvova-Belova, Russian Presidential Ombudsperson for Children's Rights, told journalists about it last Friday after a meeting with Dagestani Head Sergei Melikov in Makhachkala.
Maria Lvova-Belova noted positive dynamics in the social sphere development of the region.

"It is very important for the federal center to help the regions in cases when additional efforts are needed. We agreed to create a teenagers’ center in Dagestan in the near future. The new organization will deal with children with difficult life situations”, - the children's ombudsman said.

As to Sergei Melikov, the Head of the region, there are most of the risks and threats for teenagers in different spheres of society nowadays, including information.

-It's very important today to identify these risks in time, see them and try to confront them. <...> I think this is the most important problem for us today, because we are dealing with orphans, guardianship and people with disabilities. They may not be fully resolved today, but we have programs that we will come to and definitely implement" - Melikov told.
