For the rapidly growing tourism industry in Dagestan and throughout the Northern Caucasus, new opportunities emerge for the development of a skilled workforce.

The Association for Human Resources in the Tourism Industry in the North Caucasian Federal District, founded by the Kavkaz Development Institute, has signed an agreement for cooperation with the largest online job platform in Russia. This partnership represents a significant step for the region, where new attractions such as modern resorts, hotels, and glamping sites are being developed.

The growing infrastructure boosts demand for skilled personnel. Through this collaboration, the Association and its members, including tourist destinations in Dagestan, will gain access to a range of services and analytical data provided by the online platform. This will enable the association to create more effective job offers and interact with potential candidates.

Special emphasis is placed on the development of a specialized portal that would promote jobs in the Northern Caucasus. The portal is expected to be launched in early 2026 to allow users to not only get familiar with the full range of available vacancies, but also receive information about the cost of living in the region, availability of necessary infrastructure, and climatic features.

Analysts from a large online job search platforms confirm that the labor market in the North Caucasian region is undergoing a transition period. The North Caucasian Federal District has a high demand for qualified personnel. For example, there are only 1.8 active resumes per cook vacancy and 1.6 per maid in the region. This situation presents serious challenges for the tourism industry in Dagestan, which requires qualified chefs, maids, administrators and other staff to provide high-quality services.
