Makhachkala, April 17, 2017. The monument-bust to the first pilot-paratrooper from Dagestan, Baver Dzhafarova has been installed today in the village of Novochurtakh (Novolaksky district of Dagestan).

The deputy chairman of Dagestan government Ramazan Dzhafarov attended the solemn opening ceremony. Baver Dzhafarova made a significant contribution to the process of training of pilots during the Great Patriotic War.  

"I just have an overwhelming sense of pride that the first pilot who conquered the sky lived in Dagestan land." - Dzhafarov stressed.

Besides, another deputy prime minister of Dagestan Bilal Omarov, Dagestan minister of culture Zarema Butaeva, the head of the municipal formation of Novolaksky district Gadzhi Aydiev, the heads of municipal institutions and the local residents took part in the ceremonial rally.
