Makhachkala, August 1, 2020. About 2 million flu shots are planned to be delivered to Dagestan in 2020. The vaccination campaign should cover about 60% of the republic's residents, the press service of the regional government reports. On July 31 this decision was taken at the regular sitting of the republican operational headquarters to combat coronavirus.

"At the last videoconferencing, the head of Rospotrebnadzor of the Russian Federation (Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) Anna Popova announced that 60% of the country's population, and therefore 60% of the population of Dagestan, must be vaccinated against the seasonal flu. This is about 2 million vaccinations” - the head of Dagestan department of Rospotrebnadzor Nikolai Pavlov said at the sitting.

Remind, on July 29, Anna Popova signed an order, according to which it is planned to vaccinate at least 60% of the population of Russia against influenza during the epidemic season of 2020-2021,. At the same time, at least 75% of people belonging to risk groups should be covered by vaccination.
