Another blog tour of "Wonders of Caucasus" series starts in Chechnya

Grozny, September 29, 2014. Another blog tour of the "Wonders of Caucasus" series was launched on September 26 in Grozny, Chechnya. On the first day of their visit, bloggers went to see the Walk of Fame, the "Akhmad Arena" stadium, the Kadyrov mosque named "Heart of Chechnya", the Journalist Square, the Peoples’ Friendship Square, and other memorable places.

Later, they’ll visit the site of the future Veduchi resort, the deepest Caucasus lake Kezenoi Am, the  medieval tower complexes, the ancient city of Hoi An's, the Aldama Gezi castle, the Hussein Issayev Local Hystory museum on the territory of the medieval Phakoch castle complex and the Hafiz school. The tour will also present a master class by popular blogger Valentin Vassin who will share secrets of promoting Internet accounts.

This is the 6th blog tour after the tours of Dagestan, Ingushetia, North Ossetia-Alania, Karachay-Cherkessia, and Stavropol region. In each region, bloggers followed the routes of sights most popular with Internet users which had won the national competition "7 Wonders of North Caucasus".

The North Caucasus Media Association with support of the Russian President’s Envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District are holding the blog tours in order to demonstrate the ethno-cultural and natural potential of the North Caucasus Federal District and promote the existing and future tourist facilities.

This year, the Caucasian Internet award "Prometheus-2014" included some special categories like "Travel", "People: Caucasian Hospitality" and "I like it!" for the participating bloggers. The awarding ceremony will be part of the 2nd NCFD Media Forum bringing together journalists and authorities.
