Abdussamad Gamidov inspects construction progress of perinatal center in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, August 5, 2016. Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov, accompanied by the Dagestani Minister of Public Health Tanka Ibragimov visited the construction of the republican perinatal center in Makhachkala, the press service of Dagestani Head and Government administration reports.

Having visited the building of the medical institution and negotiated with Omaraskhab Aliyev, the head of the general contracting organization - "Uniservis" LLC, Abdussamad Gamidov noted:

"Actually, the construction works are executed in accordance with the new schedule because of systematic underfunding. We should remember that this object is very expensive and worth more than 2 billion rubles apart from the costs to import medical equipment worth 1 billion 300 million rubles.

Let me clear, the postponement of certain types of work has nothing to do with contractor’s execution of its duties. For example, now it is necessary to purchase equipment for ventilation worth approx. 300 million rubles and nobody gives it in debt. In general, perinatal center construction creates over 400 jobs; the building cladding and the interior finishing are coming to conclusion. We have no objection to the quality of work done".

According to Dagestan Ministry of Public Health, the perinatal center will be equipped with the most modern medical equipment, some of which had already been purchased.

"We have already provided the competitive procedures to recruit the necessary staff physicians who were trained in accordance with the specifics of the institution", - Tanka Ibragimov noted.

It should be noted that the perinatal center combines specific technologies of medical care aimed at preservation of the pregnancy and birth of a healthy child, even in the case of serious mother's illness. In these center, medical officers diagnose and treat all types of infertility, use reproductive technologies and conduct various children and adults’ examinations.

The perinatal center, designed for 150 patients, equipped with the most modern equipment, will start working in 2017. Besides, the construction of the important social facility was under strict control of Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, the Russian Ministry of Public Health, the Federal Mandatory Health Insurance Fund and the leadership of the North Caucasian Federal District.

The implementation of the activities is carried out with funds provided from the budget of the Federal Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund, through co-financing from the republican budget.
