“Cultural heritage and tourism development” conference takes place in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, March 13, 2014. The Gamzatov National Library in Makhachkala hosted a two-day international scientific-practical conference entitled "Cultural heritage and Tourism.
The conference has been initiated by the Russian State University of Tourism and Service, Daghestani ministry of culture and the republican Committee for tourism development.

The conference consists of "round tables" to discuss problems related to the implementation of state policy on conservation and use of cultural heritage in terms of cooperation between state and business entities, the issues of inclusion of historical and cultural sights into the regional recreational resources in Daghestan; the topical issues of safety , the use and promotion of cultural heritage, the experience and the perspective directions of draft proposals for the use and involvement of cultural heritage for socio-economic development of territories, the formation of tourist directions in the context of sustainable tourism development.

The participants note that the conference is held within the framework of events devoted to the celebration of the Year of Culture in Russia. By the way , the experts and specialists from Bulgaria, Georgia , Ukraine, Azerbaijan , Kazakhstan, Moldova and Russian regions are also taking part in the conference.
