2nd Congress of North Caucasian spiritual leaders to be held in Dagestan

Makhachkala, December 1, 2014. On December 2, 10 am, the 2nd Congress of North Caucasian spiritual leaders will be taking place in the conference hall of the House of Friendship in Makhachkala, Dagestan, a source in Dagestan Committee on Freedom of Conscience and Cooperation with Religious Organizations told RIA "Dagestan".

The congress will dispute on pressing for the Islamic community issues of strengthening peace and stability in the Caucasus and all around the globe; they’ll exchange experiences in relations between the state and religious organizations and youth’s moral education.
The event is organized by the Committee on Freedom of Conscience and the Dagestan Spiritual Board of Muslims to attract spiritual leaders from Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kalmykia, North Ossetia, and Kabardino-Balkaria.

The 1st Congress of North Caucasian spiritual leaders took place in June, 2011. Participants were discussing "Spiritual leaders’ role in combating extremism and terrorism, improving the educational system and society’s moral improvement".
