Makhachkala, January 16, 2014. Over 23,000 Dagestani families received their maternity capital certificates in 2014, the press service of Dagestan Pension Fund informs.

Since 2007, Dagestan Pension Fund has issued 196,984 state maternity capital certificates. Of them, 93,355 people have used their capitals. Improving living conditions, i.e., buying and building housing, remains the most popular option of spending the capital (99% cases).

By January 1, 2015, the maternity capital has been indexed by 5.5% and now it amounts to 453,026 rubles, which is 23,600 rubles more than that in 2014. The capital can be used to improve the living conditions of the family, to pay for children tuition in educational institutions, and to increase the mother’s pension.
To get a maternity capital, the family shall have a child born or adopted before 31 December, 2016. There’s no time limited for the capital to be received or used, so there’s no need to rush into spending the money given the fact that the capital is indexed annually.

Since 2007, the Russian Pension Fund’ regional branches have conferred over 5.6 million state maternity capital certificates. In 2014, more than 730,000 Russian families got their certificates. To date, more than 52% of families have used the funds.
