100 Ukrainian children to attend schools and kindergartens in Daghestan

Makhachkala, August 25, 2014. 100 children from the war-torn southeastern Ukraine will go to Daghestani schools and kindergartens, Daghestan ministry of education and science reports.

"To date, Daghestan’s schools and kindergartens have admitted 50 pupils and 50 children. The schoolchildren will be given uniforms, textbooks and stationery. Also, from September 1 on, they will be included in all school nutrition programs, including "School Milk," said the source.

As of now, more than 535 refugees have come to Daghestan, including 154 children. They have been accommodated in "Dolphin" and "Lezzet" resorts on the Caspian shore. In addition, about 60 refugees are living with their relatives.
