Vladimir Putin includes Ramazan Abdulatipov in Russian State Council Presidium

Moscow, October 29, 2014. Russian President Vladimir Putin has renewed the State Council Presidium including heads of 9 regions into it. Among the new members was Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, the press service of Daghestani Head and government’s administration told RIA "Daghestan" with reference to the Kremlin press service.

The other 8 new members are: governor of Perm region Victor Bassargin, governor of Volgograd region Andrei Bocharov, head of Moscow region Andrei Vorobiov, governor of Novosibirsk region Vladimir Gorodetsky, governor of Chelyabinsk region Boris Dubrovsky, Sevastopol governor Sergei Meniaylo, head of Arkhangelsk region Igor Orlov, and governor of Khabarovsk region Viacheslav Shport.

The State Council was last renewed by the president in April 2014, when the fresh members were heads of Crimea, Trans-Baikal region, Chechnya, Adygea, Voronezh region, Leningrad region, Samara region, Magadan region and Tyumen region.

The Russian State Council was established by the Russian President’s decree of September 2000. This body of power has no authority; it is designed to give the president and other executive authorities a platform to discuss pressing issues challenged by the country. The State Council is comprised, ex officio, of heads of Russian regions, or in some cases former heads who have had extensive experience in public and social activities.
