Uytash Airport runway reconstruction to be completed in early December

Makhachkala, November 28, 2014. On Thursday, November 27 the republican government officials gathered to a sitting chaired by the prime minister Dagestan Abdusamad Gamidov to discuss the progress of reconstruction of the runway in Makhachkala airport “Uytash”. The prime minister reminded that the question on timely resumption of work of the airport rose during yesterday's “live broadcast" with the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov.

Lately, the weather conditions last time did not allow to complete all the work provided within the prescribed period. However, the most of activities for the reconstruction of runway had already been completed, including due to the all-day two-shift work.

As to the chief engineer of the FSUE "Administration of Civil Airport" Alex Suprunov, the reconstruction of the runway will be completed in early December to start the technical flights. On December12, after the airport receives permission (certificate) from the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) the passenger services will be resume.

For its part, Abdusamad Gamidov expressed satisfaction with the approaching completion of the reconstruction carried out at such a high level.

The deputy Prime Minister RD Gasan Idrisov, the head of the Agency for Transport and Roads RD Zagid Khuchbarov, the member of the board of directors of the company "Nafta-Moscow" Oleg Lipatov, the representatives of the contractor "Mostootryad-99", attended the sitting.
