Sheikh Ali Muhiddin al-Karadagi sends letter of thanks to Daghestani Head

Makhachkala, May 20, 2014. The general secretary of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Sheikh Ali Muhiddin al-Karadagi sent a letter of thanks to Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, the Press Service and Information Board at Daghestani Head and Government Administration told RIA "Daghestan".

"Peace and Allah’s mercy be with you! Dear brother! The International Union of Muslim Scholars express the deepest respect to you and wish you further success and prosperity. With great joy did I receive your kind letter emphasizing the special relationships with the International Union of Muslim Scholars. For our part, we assure you we are doing our best to ensure success of all peace-making efforts and the dialogue aimed at achieving Daghestan’s stability and development.

We inform you that we are ready to step up efforts to implement the previously approved recommendations. The most critical ones were establishing the Islamic Fiqh Academy in Russia, striving to create Islamic organizations operating in different walks of life in Daghestan, and organizing training courses for imams and preachers. The Union also reiterated their concern about achieving a comprehensive national reconciliation and providing additional security guarantees to all citizens.

In conclusion, I ask Allah Almighty to bestow peace and prosperity to Daghestan, and following His will, to let us stick to the path of brotherhood and cooperation for the benefit of all the mankind. Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be with you!"- the letter says.
