Yesterday, July 28, the acting Head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov met with the representatives of the republican business community. The meeting participants discussed issues of improving business climate in the region. The head of the republic informed that as of July 10, the unified register of small and medium-sized businesses contained entries about more than 36 thousand entrepreneurs, which is 5% less than the same period of the last year.

Dagestan has a huge potential for business, which has not yet been fully utilized. For its implementation, according to Melikov, a correct dialogue between entrepreneurs and the leadership of the republic is needed. The head of the region paid special attention to the sale of local products and the need to develop tourism sector.

The parties also discussed the progress in the execution of instructions given by Melikov to the regional government at the last meeting with entrepreneurs in February 2021, as well as the problematic issues of entrepreneurs in the context of restrictive measures.
