Russian Minister of North Caucasus Affairs visits Dagestan

Makhachkala, December 23, 2014. Russian Minister of North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov arrived in Dagestan for a two-day working visit, the press service of Dagestani Head and government’s administration reports. Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov, his deputy Arthur Sibekov, and Head of Dagestani Head and government’s administration Ramazan Aliyev were meeting him in the Makhachkala airport.

Throughout the visit, Lev Kuznetsov will be accompanied by his advisor Rizvan Gazimagomedov, Deputy Director of the ministry’s investment projects department Alexander Kurkin, and some other officials.

After reconstruction, the Makhachkala airport is able to take nearly all types of aircraft. The new runway is one of the best in the country due to the latest asphalt paving technology they had applied.

Lev Kuznetsov plans to visit KEMZ Concern JSC to hold a meeting on import substitution in Dagestan industry and agriculture, see Dagestan New Technology Refinery JSC, participate in launching a secondary school in Novochurtakh village, Novolak region, get acquainted with the "Agromir" greenhouse complex, and make a trip to Derbent.

In the Russia’s oldest city, the federal minister will inspect facilities to be reconstructed before the upcoming commemorative events-2015: the Combat Glory Park, the Geidar Aliev, Buinakskiy and Chapaev Streets, the Museum of World Cultures and Religions History, and the Naryn-Kala citadel. Later, Lev Kuznetsov will chair a meeting on preparations for celebrating Derbent’s 2,000th anniversary.
