Makhachkala, July 28, 2016. The day before, July 27, the Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society (RGS) and the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov signed a cooperation agreement within the ongoing Mountain Forum in the Republic.

"For us it is very important to partake to the scientific potential of the communion in the Russian Geographical Society, the accumulated research traditions, the organizational experience and the enormous potential of the society members. This is both training and knowledge for the RGS. Dagestan is an attractive target for the Society and we will find new forms of cooperation", - Abdulatipov underlined.

Dagestani Head also pointed out the importance of the Mountain Forum: "The Forum is expected to assist in the organization and preparation of the country’s state policy in highlands. The Forum participants have long been cooperating with each other, organizing various conferences and forums in order to designate and develop these problems, not only on scientific, administrative but the political and juristic levels".
