Rocket ship "Dagestan" gets out to sea for military exercises

Makhachkala, March 17, 2015. On Monday, March 16, the rocket ship "Dagestan" of the Caspian Flotilla left the port out to sea to carry out rocket and artillery firing, the press service of the Southern Military District told the RIA "Dagestan".
Within 10 days of maritime training the crew worked out the task of mine protection, the objectives for ship defense protection when staying in the unguarded port.

"As part of working out the tasks related to naval combat a single ship the naval gunners perform firing at sea and air targets with the use of artillery systems AK-176 and anti-aircraft artillery complex "Palash ". By means of electronic launch the rocketeers will fulfill tasks on hitting surface ship of the imaginary enemy with high-precision missile system "Caliber-NK" – the military department officer said.

As noted in the Southern Military District, these training activities are carried out within the framework of working off the second special course task. The analysis and evaluation of combat training tasks carried out in the sea will be carried by the command of the Caspian Flotilla after returning to base.
