Ramazan Aliyev chairs regular meeting of Anti-corruption Council under Dagestan Head

Makhachkala, August 20, 2015. On Wednesday, August 19, the Head of Dagestan Government Administration Ramazan Aliyev chaired a regular meeting of Anti-corruption Council under the Head of Dagestan. Anticipating the discussion on agenda issues, Ramazan Aliyev noted that the primary task of public authorities was to counter corruption. As to Aliyev, it is unacceptable practice when some businesses, organizations or individuals meet their needs at the expense of the republican budget in violation of financial discipline and ignoring the state interests.

"We receive state salaries and therefore must fully comply with the legal requirements, duties and standards imposed upon us. Many people forget about it, hence causing flagrant violations and failure in fulfilling their direct duties"- Ramazan Aliyev reminded.

In turn, the head of the Office for combating corruption, operational management and control of the Government Administration RD Ibrahim Ibrahimov informed the meeting participants about the results of inspections and identified violations of anti-corruption legislation. In particular, they spoke about the rule of law when exercising powers of control over the management, disposal, efficient use and preservation of state assets, as well as during the auction to lease and subsequent sale of land located in the city of Makhachkala, Perova street, 11.

It was noted that the agenda of the meeting was formed based on regular inspections carried out by the Office for combating corruption, operational management and control and adopted by the Head of the Republic.

The meeting participants also discussed the guidelines for (officials) of executive authorities of Dagestan and local authorities for the prevention of corruption and other offenses.

Noteworthy, the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov pays much attention to anti-corruption issues, citing the President of Russia Vladimir Putin who repeatedly notes that the fight against corruption is one of the main directions of state policy, including in the area of strengthening national security, constitutional rights and freedoms.
