Ramazan Abdulatipov meets with governors of Babayurt and Gunib districts

Makhachkala, August 20, 2015. Yesterday, August 19, the Head of Dagestan met with the heads of Babayurt and Gunib districts to discuss measures taken to improve the socio-economic and cultural development of the municipalities.

Speaking about the current state of the municipality, the head of Babayurt district Dada Daveteev noted that the local farmers use 94% of arable land, 37 thousand hectares of transhumance lands were sown with rice. Over the past two years, the area under grain crops were significantly increased.

The deputy Prime Minister – the Minister of Economy and Regional Development RD Rayudin Yusufov also appreciated the pace of development of the district. "The execution of the tax and non-tax revenues into the budget amounts to almost 98% in the first seven months. The multi functional centers across the district render the growing number of services to the population. The investment activity is good, etc".

The governor of the district reported on the improves in crime situation, especially in the field of combating terrorism and extremism. The deputy Prime Minister RD Sharip Sharipov noted that almost all the major agro-industrial projects in the area were functioning effectively. AS to Sharipov, the local farming enterprises display steadily rising rates in livestock, horticulture and other industries.

Speaking about Gunib district, Ramazan Abdulatipov noted that the municipality is one of the most developed regions of Dagestan and encouraged to actively involve successful countrymen to the development of the district, to develop agro-industrial sector, to pay attention to the development of the fisheries sector. The Head of the Republic instructed the responsible persons to assist in solving the problem with potable water supply in the village Gunib.
