Makhachkala, August 11, 2015. Yesterday, August 10, the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov took part in the closing ceremony of the II International Interreligious Youth Forum in Karabudakhkentsky district of Dagestan.

Let us remind that the Forum started on August 3. In his speech, Dagestani leader noted that the interreligious youth forum was the first joint initiative of the Bishop of Makhachkala and Grozny Varlaam and the mufti of Dagestan, Sheikh Ahmad Haji-Abdulaev.

"This forum was held not "for show". Bishop Barlaam and Sheikh Ahmad Haji Abdullayev pay great attention to inter-religious youth cooperation. Dagestan is a region where different religions have always lived in peace and harmony.

Despite the fact that there were political forces trying to use religion for their own purposes, people keep adherence to friendly policy relationships. Even in the most difficult times for the republic, the spiritual leaders actively interact with each other and greatly contribute to the establishment of peace and stability in Russia. Today, the religion and religious leaders also play a huge role, and power forward to their support” – Abdulatipov noted.
