Moscow, July 30, 2015. On July 29, Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov took part in the meeting of Government Commission on socio-economic development of North Caucasus Federal District led by the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

The parties of the meeting discussed the issues related to the development of industrial and agricultural sectors in the North Caucasus Federal District within the policy of import substitution, as well as the aspects concerning the improvement of state program of the Russian Federation “The development of the North Caucasus Federal District until 2025”.

The Prime Minister noted that the restrictions on the import of certain food products had become a good impetus for the Russian agrarians. "The total volume of means from the federal budget allocated to support the North Caucasus agricultural sector in 2014 has exceeded 11 billion rubles. This year we intend to allocate 12 billion rubles for this purpose" - Medvedev stated.

In his turn, Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov shared information about the pace of development of the agro-industrial complex of Dagestan. "The other day I visited one of the biggest village with 17 thousand residents. Despite international sanctions on Russia, I saw 5% of Russian goods and 95% of products of unknown origin in the shop counters. I think that this situation is observed not only in Dagestan. There should be a clear regulation of agricultural market, which, unfortunately, does not function correctly. For example, there is no problem with the production of lamb in Dagestan, but we have some difficulties in the sale process"- Abdulatipov pointed out.

Meanwhile, according to Dagestani Head, the republican authorities render assistance to the construction of many logistics centers. This year, we receive support from the federal government in this issue.
Besides, according to Abdulatipov, many of the construction materials are purchased outside the country, while Dagestan possesses all the resources to develop its own construction industry. In this regard, it was planned to implement a number of projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry of the Russian Federation.

“In general, we have enough orders to load the republican enterprises, especially in the military-industrial complex. If we get, in particular, the replacement capital, it will be a quantum jump in the development of Dagestan industry. Among other things, the Russian President Vladimir Putin has supported the idea of preservation and development of the Dagdizel plant. I think we can achieve a new level of the industrial and agro-industrial complex development in Dagestan ".

The deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin, the Russian Minister of the North Caucasus Lev Kuznetsov, the Minister of Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov, the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, the Presidential Plenipotentiary in the North Caucasus Federal District Sergey Melikov, the head of the North Caucasus Districts and other officials attended the meeting of the Commission.
