Kazan, Tatarstan region, April 27, 2015. Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov arrived in Tatarstan region for a working visit. He was met by Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin at the airport of Kazan.

Later in the day, Abdulatipov met with acting Tatarstan president Rustam Minnikhanov in the Kazan Kremlin to discuss further cooperation at the interregional level and other pressing for the republics topics.

Mukhametshin and Abdullatipov noted with satisfaction the increasing cooperation between the two republics. They expressed the hope that the agreement between the House of Peoples' Friendship in Tatarstan and Dagestan House of Friendship signed on April 23 during the deputy Dagestan national policy minister Tekrara Akhmedov’s a visit to Kazan will strengthen the close ties between the two peoples.

Thanking the leadership of Tatarstan for the warm welcome, Dagestan Head expressed confidence that Tatarstan will maintain its position as one of the most successful developing republics of Russia: "For us, Tatarstan has always been an example to follow in many ways. You have achieved great success in development and study of cultural traditions and languages, too"

During his stay in Kazan, R.Abulatipov will take part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Gabdulla Tukai, attend a poetry festival and visit some sporting events.
