Purnima Anand, President of the BRICS International Forum, has confirmed her attendance at the Second International Forum on "Sustainable Development of Mountainous Territories" in Dagestan. This confirmation follows an agreement reached during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

At SPIEF, Ms. Anand expressed particular interest in Dagestan's agro-industrial development.  Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, Chairman of the Government of the Republic, extended a formal invitation for her to visit Dagestan. Her participation is considered highly significant, as it underscores the shared commitment to rural development between the BRICS International Forum and Dagestan.

The forum will feature high-level discussions involving regional governor Sergei Melikov. Apart from the negotiations with government representatives and experts, the program will highlight the participation of international delegations, underscoring the event's global importance.
