Pharmaceutical companies of India offered to use mountain herbs from Dagestan

Today, July 18, the Prime Minister of Dagestan, Artem Zdunov, discussed cooperation issues in the economic and cultural spheres with the Indian Ambassador to Russia Gangadharan Balasubramianian. In particular, the supply of raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry and leather for light industry were named as the most promising directions.

Gangadharan Balasubramianian reported on the interest of the Indian leadership in multiple increase of trade turnover between the countries. Thus, the deputy ambassador paid special attention to such areas as the production of medicines based on mountain medicinal herbs and the development of enterprises for the production of footwear, leather and textile products.

"There is a little less population in our republic than in India" - Dagestani Prime Minister joked (the population of Dagestan is about 3 million people - in India 1.4 billion), but Dagestan is one of the rapidly growing republics in terms of population rate.
