From 2022, over 2.9 hectares of modern greenhouse facilities have been put into operation in the mountainous regions of Dagestan. This information was disclosed by Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, Chairman of the Government of Dagestan, during a press conference focusing on the forum "Sustainable Development of Mountainous Territories".

The top official highlighted the substantial achievements of the republic within the scope of the ongoing program "Socio-economic Development of Mountainous Territories". The republican budget allocates approximately RUB 200 million towards the execution of this state target program.

Over the course of the three-year program, 645 initiatives have received support, which include:

1. Construction of greenhouse complexes covering 2.9 hectars.
2. Cultivation of 56.6 hectars of intensive orchards by private farms in mountain areas.
3. Subsidies for the purchase of 263 small agricultural machines.
4. Attraction of RUB 88 million from non-budgetary sources.

The program, launched in 2022, has made significant progress in the mountainous territories of Dagestan.
