The government of the republic of Dagestan has introduced a moratorium on the increase of rent payments for land plots in the region. The corresponding resolution "On support measures in the sphere of land relations on the territory of the Republic of Dagestan" has been signed by the Prime Minister of the region Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov.

The document was adopted in order to ensure socio-economic stability on the territory of the Republic, to provide additional support to business entities, socially oriented NGOs and residents of the region. Such a decision is aimed at supporting the tenants of land plots. The resolution states that the increase of rent under lease agreements for land plots owned by the state, as well as land plots, the state ownership of which is not delimited, will be suspended through indexation, application of a new cadastral value, or adjustment of the rent to the market value.

This measure will apply to legal relations arising from January 1, 2023, until December 31, 2024.
