Minister for development of the Northern Caucasus Lev Kuznetsov to check on preparations for the celebration of the 2000th anniversary of Derbent

Makhachkala, July 31, 2014. The Minister for development of the Northern Caucasus Lev Kuznetsov will visit Derbent to inspect objects reconstruction, carried out in the framework of the celebration of the 2000 anniversary of the ancient city of Russia – Derbent, the Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov told it at a meeting of the working group held on July 30.

The official event was attended by the head of the States public institution RD "Derbent 2000" Ali Nurmagomedov, the mayor of Derbent Imam Yaraliev, other officials.

The vice governor of Derbent Sergey Azimov reported that all activities are carried out in strict accordance with the approved "road map."

Each vice mayor of Derbent is responsible for the realization of certain items of the "road map", a good cooperation with Derbent City Jubilee Celebration Directorate has been arranged. These measures give a sustainable result


Abdussamad Gamidov instructed one of the Vice-Ministers of Economy and Regional Development RD to consolidate control over implementing activities for the celebration of the 2000th anniversary of Derbent. That will allow providing work more efficiently.

Having looked through the list of streets, buildings, yard areas, kindergartens, schools, etc. prepared for potential investors, the Prime Minister RD noted that the heads of Russian regions should be proposed the most important objects for the reconstruction.

Parties discussed issues related to the reconstruction of H. Aliyev street, Battle Glory Park, Buynakskaya street, as well as the construction of the Olympic Complex, the press service of Daghestani Heads and government ‘s administration informs.
