Lev Kuznetsov gets familiarized with preparations for the 2000 anniversary of Derbent

Makhachkala, August 14, 2014. Today, August 14, the Russian minister for affairs of the Northern Caucasus Lev Kuznetsov, being on a two-day working visit to Daghestan, has arrived in Derbent, the press service of Daghestani Head and government’s administration told the RIA "Daghestan".

The Russian minister accompanied by Daghestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov  and mayor of Derbent Imam Yaraliev inspected a number of facilities constructed and reconstructed in preparation for the celebration of the 2000th anniversary of Derbent.

In the holiday village "Black Stones" Lev Kuznetsov got familiarized with the construction of the wastewater treatment facilities started late since 2008 as part of the federal program "South of Russia"; it is scheduled that the construction will be finished in 2015. Daghestani minister of economy and regional development Rayudin Yussufov made a detailed report on financing of the object.

The guests were shown a maquette of a sports complex construction. Then the delegation visited the park "Battle Glory" and the ancient fortress Naryn-Kala which are currently under reconstruction.  

Having inspected facilities, the top officials proceeded to a meeting on preparations for the celebration of the 2000th anniversary of Derbent held in the administrative building of the local Mayor’s Office.

Let us remind that in the framework of his visit, the Russian minister for the Northern Caucasus affairs had already got familiarized with the priority development projects, visited the Caspian float glass plant , the textile factory "Nergiz-Daghestan" and the construction site of the  ceramic tile plant "Marabou" LLC.
