Lev Kuznetsov: Daghestan’s socio-economic development program to be established

Pyatigorsk, August 6, 2014. Daghestan’s socio-economic development subprogram will be prepared as part of the North Caucasus development program, said minister of North Caucasus development Lev Kuznetsov at the recent meeting of the Council of North Caucasus Federal District regions’ heads held in Pyatigorsk August 5, the press service of the Daghestan head and government’s administration told RIA "Dagestan".

Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdullatipov also took part in the council meeting chaired by plenipotentiary of the Russian President in the North Caucasus Federal District Sergei Melikov.

The plenipotentiary noted that they met to thoroughly analyze the current situation in the North Caucasus, identify the main district’s problems, and agree on further actions and plans for the future. The topic issue was social and political stability in the North Caucasus which is a priority for any public authority in the region. Melikov reiterated that the ministry of North Caucasus affairs was there to provide resources to all initiatives aimed at developing the North Caucasus Federal District.

Lev Kuznetsov informed that they will outline priorities for each NCFD region and the district as a whole. The new federal ministry will consider ideas initiated by Alexander Khloponin: the state program for North Caucasus Federal District’s development, the program of Ingushetia’s socio-economic development, the "North Caucasus Resorts" development institution, the "North Caucasus Development Corporation", etc. He also spoke about implementing investment projects and reminded that they needed to introduce standards of investment attractiveness by the end of 2014.
