Makhachkala, December 24, 2014.  / Press service of Dagestani Head and government’s administration/
Russian Minister of North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov currently visiting Dagestan in company with republic’s head Ramazan Abdulatipov saw a number of socially-minded facilities in Makhachkala.

First, they attended the grand opening of the automated "Chapaevo" gas distribution station after reconstruction in the outskirts of Makhachkala. Kuznetsov thanked the builders for commissioning a socially and economically meaningful facility in such a short period of time and stressed the need for partnership between the state and private companies.

Construction of the "Chapaevo" station producing 3 m3 per hour was funded from the national budget to meet the needs of migrants from the Novolak region. The reconstruction helped increase the station’s capacity 10 times - as high as 30,000 m3 per hour. The new station is equipped with modern means of automation and remote control allowing for increase in equipment safety and the gas supply reliability. The modernized station raised to a qualitatively new level the gas supply to settlements (15,000 people) and social facilities (5,000 enterprises). It’s a fully automated system – any possible changes and failures are under dispatchers’ control.

After seeing the gas distribution station, the delegation headed for Novochurtakh village, Novolak region, to participate in the grand opening of a secondary school for 315. After cutting the symbolic "red tape", the guests inspected the school building and saw the classrooms and environment created for children’s study and leisure activities. Dagestani Head pointed to the need for introducing new technologies within the "School of Future" project stressing that the most important thing was to recruit qualified, competent teachers.

The next facility to visit was the newly commissioned "Dagestan new technologies" refinery. The guests toured the premises of the enterprise, learned the company’s work and products. It’s a modern industrial complex processing 1 million tons per year. They have highly automated equipment and all necessary infrastructure that meets modern requirements and standards. They produce straight-run gasoline and commodity products like diesel fuel, jet fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, marine fuel, and liquefied gas. The plan of the enterprise is to come to produce high-octane commercial gasoline and diesel fuels meeting Euro 4 and Euro 5 environmental standards.

Interestingly, the fully operating oil refinery will provide high-quality products not only for Dagestan, but also other North Caucasus Federal District regions with lower prices due to reduced transport costs. It will also employ 500, increasing tax revenues to the budgets of all levels.
