French television station Canal + broadcasted a movie about Maidan "Masks of the revolution" despite the protests of official Kiev, the site of the channel reports. In the documentary film directed by Paul Moreira, the events of 2013-2014 are evaluated.

As stated in the summary to the film, "the participation of right-wing armed groups [in the protests on Independence Sq] has been ignored for a long time." The viewers are also invited to learn about the support of Washington and the nationalists "in Odessa massacre committed by Ukrainian nationalists."

The Ukrainian Embassy in Paris asked Canal + to take the film off the air. Kiev accuses the author of the movie in manipulating comments and generating prejudices. «Canal + should reconsider its position on the screening of the film" - the embassy’s statement runs.
