The members of the Economic Policy Committee of Federation Council of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Acting Head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergei Melikov and the representatives of the republican executive bodies have gathered to discuss the issues of financial support for the construction of socially significant objects in Dagestan.

In particular, the Minister for Economy and Territorial Development of the Republic of Dagestan Ruslan Aliyev delivered a report on the resumption of financing for the completion of unfinished construction objects with high social significance within the framework of the relevant state programs of the Russian Federation.  

According to Aliyev, as of January 1, 2020, there were more than 1.3 thousand objects of unfinished construction in the region. A significant share of buildings and assets under construction are large objects, the construction of which had been started long ago at the expense of the federal budget. Due to the completion of implementation of measures under federal programs, including the early ones, the facilities were left without sources of funding. This mainly concerns the federal target programs "South of Russia", "Housing" and "Clean Water".
