Makhachkala, February 12, 2015. On Wednesday, February 11, the deputy Prime Minister RF Dmitry Rogozin arrived in Dagestan with a working visit. The main purpose of the visit is the assessment of the military-industrial potential of the republic. Straight fr om the airport, Dmitry Rogozin, went to the town of Kaspiisk, wh ere the plant "Dagdizel" is located.

Accompanied by the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipova, the Prime Minister RD Abdusamad Gamidov, and other officials Dmitry Rogozin inspected manufacturing facilities and spoke with employees of the company.

Then, at the successive meeting the parties discussed some relevant issues related to the activity of plant, the prospects of development of sea underwater weapons in the country and the modernization of the existing arsenal.

Dmitry Rogozin, in particular said:

"Currently, the company is actively working on the creation of nuclear submarines of the fourth generation. The fleet gets back modernized nuclear boats of the third generation. Similarly, there is work on diesel submarines. The RF President put a hard task before us - to fulfill the state defense order, especially today, when we are under the influence of external factors, and in parallel have to deal with import substitution due to the loss of our traditional partner in the Ukrainian industry. Our cooperative ties with Ukraine were very close. It is necessary to quickly replace all that was made by Ukraine in order to perform the tasks set by the Russian Defense Ministry. The delay in the production of components need to be eliminated by the end of this year. "

Responding to questions from journalists, Dmitry Rogozin, told about the purpose of his visit:

"The reason that prompted us to come to Dagestan, is the plant" Dagdizel " and, above all, the urgent need to restore order in such an important area as the production of marine underwater weapons. More than 30 years the industry was neglected. There were no general designers and talented organizers in the industry. Today we see that the difficult financial situation and the problems of co-operation of "DagDiesel" with other Russian companies – are the consequence of lack of proper organization".
