Makhachkala, March 29, 2017. A delegation of politicians and businessmen from Germany came to the Crimea to make sure of the peaceful life of the peninsula after reunification with Russia. The delegation members will also get familiarized with the investment opportunities in the region, the permanent representative of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan in the city of federal significance Sevastopol Muratali Salikhov said.

According to the regional parliament deputy of Germany Andreas Maurer, he had been informed about the situation in the Crimea and expressed no surprise towards all the seen in the peninsula.
"In conversation with people, I always heard: we are Russian and we are glad that we returned home. There gradually comes an understanding in the West about the Crimea and the attitude is changing. The anti-Russian sanctions lifting issue is rising more often in the EU countries" - Maurer confessed.

The representatives of the delegation laid flowers to the memorial complex of the heroic defense and liberation of Sevastopol, on Sapun-Gora.

Muratali Salikhov told the guests about the work of the office on strengthening interregional relations with the Crimean Peninsula. "In the near future, we intend to come to you, to get familiarized with the sights of Dagestan, to meet with the Head of the republic and to find opportunities for investment in your region" - Maurer explained. Noteworthy, the German delegation included deputies, politicians and businessmen who deal with real estate and investment issues.
