Makhachkala, June 16, 2014. On June 11, Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov visited the Situation and Information Centre of the Federal Education and Science Supervision Agency, the press service of the Daghestan head and government administration told RIA "Daghestan".

Abdulatipov thanked the head of the agency Sergey Kravtsov for the help in organizing the USE in Daghestan and said that, "The biggest USE challenge, in my opinion, is violation of its regulations. In Dagestan, we used to have a distorted environment where everyone deceived each other. The result is a huge number of people with diplomas, but virtually no professionally trained specialists. We support the great work the agency is doing because we are interested in improving the education quality in Daghestan. If we want our children to be competitive, we need to put in order our school system, the way the USE is held, and the higher education system," Daghestani Head said.

Commenting on why the passing grade in the Russian language has been lowered, Head of the Russian education and science supervision agency Sergey Kravtsov explained that they did it to make the exam as objective as possible. As for the other exams, including the natural sciences and chemistry, in 2014, in contrast to previous USE campaigns, there was no evidence of information leaks of exam materials and answers to the tests.

"We still have to sum up the results, but I would like to once again note that the 2014 examination campaign has been held openly and fairly in almost every city of Russia: Moscow, Makhachkala, Saratov, etc.," he concluded with satisfaction.
