Daghestani Head inspects implementation of priority projects

Makhachkala, March 31, 2014. On March 28, Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov held a working meeting on implementation of priority projects of Daghestan development.

The meeting brought together the Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov, the chief of the Head and Government’s Administration Ramazan Aliyev, 1st Deputy Prime minister Anatoly Karibov, the Deputy Prime Ministers Ramazan Djafarov, SharipSharipov and Arsen Gasanov, and officials from ministries and departments.
During the meeting, Daghestani Head heard about the results achieved since the beginning of 2014. The curators – deputy prime ministers and ministers – reported on the conducted work and said about their plans till the end of 2014. Ramazan Abdulatipov gave a high appraisal of the dynamics of the government’s activities.

E.g., Deputy Prime Minister Sharip Sharipov clarified the situation with agricultural lands within the "Effective Agriculture" project. According to him, inventory had been carried out in 13 regions. 50,000 hectares of arable land turned out to be absent in the records being used for the construction of industrial and other facilities. Carrying out the inventory in the remaining 38 regions had been delayed due to financial shortage; this year, the funds are planned to be provided.

In total, there are 500,000 hectares of arable land in Daghestan (467 hectares are the lands of agricultural use). 120,000 hectares is in active circulation.
As for the "New Daghestan Brand" project, A. Karibov said they had been working hard to create a positive image of Daghestan. To this end, they plan to use celebration of the 2000th anniversary of Derbent and the events related to the Year of Culture, too. They also keep on organizing press tours of Daghestan.

Talking about brands, Daghestan Leader said that they could use the names of famous writers and poets glorifying Daghestan as brands, too. Ramazan Abdulatipov gave instructions to specify their work in this area.

As for the other projects, Ramazan Abdulatipov noted that progress had been observed. He instructed the government once again to organize all the projects’ items and watch the way they are implemented.
