Daghestan and Moscow sign a cooperation agreement

Moscow, November 13, 2014. Daghestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed an agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation, the press service of Daghestani Head and government’s administration reports. The signing ceremony of official documents has taken place today November 13 in Moscow.

Welcoming Daghestani colleagues and referring to Daghestani Head, Sergei Sobyanin, in particular, said:

"Dear Ramazan Gadzhimuradovich! You have been governing the republic for two years. Nowadays we see how You succeeded in improving the economic situation in the republic and in strengthening the rule of law. It is very important that we maintain close contact on all problematic issues, especially considering the fact that many Daghestanis live and work in Moscow. By the way, we have recently solved one of the serious problems associated with the hoodwinked investors; without Your participation it would have been impossible. Today, having signed the cooperation agreement, I believe that our cooperation in the field of culture, tourism, economy, social policy will become systematic and reach a totally new level."

In his turn, Ramazan Abdulatipov pointed out that Moscow as a capital of the Russian Federation unites peoples from different regions and Sergei Sobyanin’ s leadership contributed to the preservation of the best traditions, including  in the field of  cooperation among regions.

"Today Daghestan needs such a cooperation. In terms of economic development and the growth of industrial production indexes our republic took the 1st place in 2013, in terms of tax collection it was the 4th in the Russian Federation. We attach big efforts to keep Daghestan from the economic crisis, and in all projects we feel support of the mayor of Moscow and the Muscovites.

We managed to arrange strong and fruitful cooperation in the sphere of public health service and education; we actively work with the departments of culture of Moscow. All priority directions of development of the Republic of Daghestan in varying degrees have been agreed with Moscow. We try not to abuse and more to interact. I think the agreement, signed today will contribute to our cooperation and integration"- Ramazan Abdulatipov said.

According to the agreement between Moscow Government and the Republic of Daghestan, the parties intend to promote inter-regional economic integration, to strengthen ties in the sphere of transport, mass media, industry, agriculture, trade and services, public health, education, youth policy, science, culture, tourism and sport, environment, communication and information, and others.

In the framework of its competence, both sides will create conditions for the establishment and expansion of trade and economic relations between subjects conducted their activities on the territory of Moscow and Daghestan in particular in the field of the supply of products for industrial purposes, consumer goods, agricultural products and food.

It is planned to organize joint exhibitions, conferences, seminars, meetings, "round tables" in the direction of cooperation.

The ceremony of signing official documents was attended by Daghestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov, Chairman of State Duma Committee on Nationality Affairs Gadzhimet Safaraliev, Daghestan minister for national policy Tatyana Gamaley, the minister of economy and regional development Rayudin Yussufov, the interim permanent representative of Daghestan at the Russian President Izumrud Mugutdinova.
