Dagestan to have its own environmental organization for solid wastes management

The regional environmental organization to implement territorial scheme for the management of solid waste will appear in Dagestan. This has been announced by Head of the republic, Sergei Melikov, at an expanded meeting of the regional government.
According to Melikov, the state-owned organization will be in charge of all issues in the field of waste management - from container sites to waste sorting enterprises.

“At the moment we have started to create this organization. This is an important event for Dagestan. As soon as the territorial scheme of SW management is approved, we will carry out the first stage of work in this direction” - Melikov pointed out. This organization will be financed mostly from the federal budget and it will also be able to participate in various federal programs.
