Dagestan parliament extends business ombudsman’s right in republic
They are the changes meant to bring the legal act in conformity with the federal law governing the activities of the Russia Ombudsman and in accordance with Article 69 of the Constitution of Dagestan, according to which the business ombudsman of the republic is entitled to initiate legislation," said the acting Dagestan minister of justice Suleiman Muradov.
The amendments force the Dagestan business ombudsman to publish information about the outcome of business entities’ complaints solution on his or her website with the names or personal data given.
In addition, the law now allows the business ombudsman to introduce to the regional parliament legislative initiatives on issues within his or her jurisdiction, and to issue both administrative and executive orders. From now on, the regional budgets will yearly allot funds necessary to ensure the business activities of the ombudsman and his or her staff.
