Makhachkala, May 14, 2015. Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov chaired a regular governmental meeting on operational issues. In particular, minister of industry, trade and investment Yussup Umavov and minister of agriculture Battal Batalov reported on measures taken to promote import substitution in the agricultural sector and industry of Dagestan.

Dagestan government’s № 43 decree of February 11, 2015 "On urgent measures to ensure priority economical development and social stability" approved an action plan for sustainable economic development and social stability and promotion of import substitution in industry and agribusiness in the republic in 2015. The document also formed an interdepartmental working group to monitor developments in the socio-economic sphere and implementation of the above mentioned plans.

After hearing the reports, Abdussamad Gamidov instructed the executive authorities on the need to ensure timely implementation of the planned actions and to prepare progress reports which should be submitted monthly to Dagestan ministry of economy and regional development.

In turn, the ministry of economic development on behalf of the Prime Minister shall regularly submit reports on implementation of measures to the republican government to be further transferred to the Dagestan head and then to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

Territorial bodies of federal executive bodies in Dagestan, administrations of municipalities and urban districts, businesses and organizations were recommended to join the active work in this area.
