Dagestan focuses on tourism development - Abdulatipov

Makhachkala, July 16, 2015. Dagestan authorities will spent more than 35 billion rubles under the state target program scheduled till the end of 2018 for the development of tourism in the republic - the Head of the region Ramazan Abdulatipov said.

"Dagestan possesses unique natural conditions for the development of many different forms of tourism. The republic implements the state program "The development of tourist and recreational complex in Dagestan for 2014-2018 years" worth 35.3 billion rubles," - Abdulatipov said. Dagestani Head also explained the necessary of rolling up the "Côte d'Azur" project.

The "Côte d'Azur" project was once initiated by the city administration of Makhachkala together with the main investor of the project - "Makhachkala beach" Investment Construction Company. In fact, it was the assignment with the subsequent sale of land. Therefore, on this land we plan to implement real projects"- Abdulatipov said.

Let us remind, in late 2014, the Government of Dagestan eliminated the project of construction of a satellite town of Makhachkala "Cote d'Azur" worth 150 billion rubles from the list of priority investment project. According to the project, private investors intended to build a modern city with residential houses, offices, hotels, a water park, the largest cinema complex in southern Russia, a yacht club and a dolphinarium on the the vacant territory between the capital of Dagestan and the town of Kaspiysk.
