Dagestan becomes the safest region in Caucasus - Abdulatipov

Makhachkala, July 23, 2015. The Head of the republic of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov assured that the crime rate in the region has become the lowest in the Northern Caucasus.

"The crime rate reduced half as less in Dagestan compared to average across the other regions of the North Caucasian Federal District, and decreased three times less than the average for Russia. The crime-solving rate has grew up. The last year and a half we passed without terrorist acts. We almost stopped the crimes related to kidnapping for ransom and substantially reduced the cases of extortion, intimidation accompanied by businessmen.

Dagestanis again safely walk with the children in parks and squares"- the head of the republic said. Ramazan Abdulatipov said that the safety of citizens and the restoration of the rule of law - are the most important issues under strict control of the Republican Government and local municipalities.
