Makhachkala, December 3, 2014. On November 24 Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdullatipov and the governor of Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov signed a memorandum of friendship, cooperation and deepening integration relations between the Republic of Dagestan and Stavropol Territory for the period up to 2016.

The document establishes the readiness of the Parties to the strengthening of friendly relations and deepening of integration relations in areas of mutual interest. The memorandum provides for cooperation in industry, agriculture, high-tech and innovation, trade, economic and investment spheres, housing and communal services, education and science, public health, culture, sports, tourism, environment and the safety. It is also planned to interact within the framework of the Strategy of the state national policy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025.

On the basis of mutually beneficial agreements the regions intend, in particular, to increase interregional trade, create shopping centers and networks in order to promote products, to increase the amount of counter deliveries of agricultural products and food, wine products, to create favorable conditions for the development of viticulture and winemaking, to provide supply of breeding livestock, seed and planting material of agricultural crops. The agreement provides for the implementation of joint investment projects in the storage, primary and deep processing of agricultural products.
