The opening ceremony of the ethno park was attended by the head of the republic Ramazan Abdulatipov. According to Dagestani leader, the idea of creating the "City of Masters" appeared 15 years ago, but only now, with the participation of the republican Ministry of Tourism we managed to create this "small corner of the national culture of Dagestan," -  Abdulatipov is quoted saying.

The head of the region also noted that such recreation areas should appear in all districts of the Dagestani capital. "The culture is directly connected with the development of the other sectors. The level of culture indicates the level economy, as well as the level of people's service" Abdulatipov said, reminding that Dagestan ranks third in Russia in terms of the number of historical monuments.

"This huge potential will hopefully be appreciated, first of all, in the capital.  We did a big work to create the new, modern, the local history museum. It is the best in the Caucasus. Besides, the first poetry theater in the republic was established" - the head of Dagestan added.
