Caspian flotilla marines start amphibious exercises in Dagestan

Makhachkala, January 28, 2016. The Caspian flotilla marines have begun training for amphibious warfare exercises, the press service of the Southern Military District reports. As informed, the amphibious exercises are being carried out at the Scorpion training range of the naval infantry in Dagestan. More than 200 soldiers and 20 units of military and special equipment were involved in the drills.

"As a part of the military exercises will practice the skills of loading and unloading combat vehicles. Also, the crews of armored personnel carriers will study to shoot target engagements", - the spokesperson explained. The next stage of training there will be joint exercises with the battalion of landing boats with access to the Caspian Sea.
