Makhachkala, April 20, 2016. Burliyat Tokbolatova has been appointed to the position of the republican Minister of Press and Information. The corresponding decree has been signed today, April 20, by the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov.

Tokbolatova was born on March 24, 1956 in the city of Khasavyurt, Dagestan ASSR. In the years 1974-1979 she studied in Moscow State Institute of Culture.

In 1980-1990 she worked in the Ministry of Culture of Dagestan. Since 1990 she has been working in various media. In 1993-2001 years Tokbolatova worked as the deputy chief editor and the chief editor of the "Dialogue" weekly. From 2007 to 2013 she worked as the deputy chief editor of "Dagestanskaya Pravda" daily. From 2014 to 2016 Tokbolatova headed the State Budgetary Organization of the republic of Dagestan "The editorial office of the republican newspaper "Dagestanskaya Pravda".
