As part of ongoing efforts to expand international cooperation, the BRICS alliance and the Republic of Dagestan have formalized a mutually beneficial partnership. This agreement has been formalized through the signing of a memorandum of understanding by Purnima Anand, President of the International Forum of Countries and Sergei Melikov, the Head of the Republic of Dagestan.

The agreement seeks to boost the region's foreign economic activity. The collaboration between the parties will focus on fostering cooperation in various fields, including strengthening business contacts, organizing consultations, conferences, and specialized seminars.

Purnima Anand's visit to Dagestan was part of her participation in the Mountain Forum program held in the republic.
